    Communications

This is for portfolio leads, PMO heads, and executives who already choose, stop, and balance a set of investments. A portfolio is not a large program. It is the collection of work the organisation is willing to pay for, and the work it should stop. The exam is 170 questions in four hours, in English. Twenty of the questions are not scored. The marks sit in strategic alignment (25 percent), governance (20 percent), portfolio performance (25 percent), portfolio risk (15 percent), and communications (15 percent). The institute sets the experience, all of it inside the last fifteen years. With a high school diploma it asks for eight years of business experience and seven years of portfolio management. With a bachelor degree it asks for eight years of business experience and four years of portfolio management. A degree from a GAC program still asks for eight years of business experience, and three years of portfolio work. There is a panel review before you are invited to book the exam. This course walks what that review reads. It does not write the application, and the exam fee is not in this price. Confirm the current rules on the application. Dates and the fee are on this page.

Outcomes

What you will be able to do when the course ends. This is not the list of things you take home. That list is Benefits, at the top of the page.

  1. 1You can tell a portfolio from a program and from a project.
  2. 2You can say which work serves the strategy, and which should stop.
  3. 3You can name who is allowed to authorize a component.
  4. 4You can report value, capacity, and risk for the whole set.
  5. 5You can tell the people affected when the answer is no.
  6. 6You know what the panel review reads, and that this course does not write it.

FAQ’s

Who is this course for?
Portfolio leads, PMO heads, and executives who already choose, stop, and balance a set of investments.
Is the exam fee included?
No. The exam is 170 questions in four hours. A panel reviews your experience before you can book it. This course does not write that review, and it does not pay the fee.
How is a portfolio different from a program?
A program coordinates projects toward one set of benefits. A portfolio is the collection of work the organisation is willing to fund. A successful project can still be the wrong investment.
Are you an authorized training partner?
No. The outline follows the published exam. The certificate is for these hours. The credential comes only from the institute, after you pass.
Do you guarantee a job after a cohort?
No. We publish dates, prices, refund terms and consented stories. Placement and income claims are not part of this academy.
What time zone are live sessions in?
Source zone is America/Toronto unless a cohort says otherwise. Session times always name that zone. Convert in your own calendar from the ICS on the cohort card.
Can I join a waitlist if a cohort is full?
Yes. Waitlist captures name, email and optional phone. It does not take payment. Seats that free up are offered in join order.
How does early-bird pricing work?
If a cohort has an early-bird price and the cut-off has not passed (server date at payment), checkout charges the early-bird amount. The cart may still show list price until quote.
What is the refund window?
Full refund before the published cut-off relative to the cohort start; after that the published bands on the Refund page apply. Checkout requires you to accept that policy.
