Does this include the PMI-ACP exam?

No. This is the practice of the role. PMI-ACP Agile Practitioner is the exam course, and that exam fee is not included.

Do I need to be on a Scrum team already?

It helps. You can still take it if you are about to step into the role. Bring one team you know.

What do I leave with?

Practice at protecting the work and hearing what is stuck, plus recordings and a certificate of completion.

Do you guarantee a job after a cohort?

No. We publish dates, prices, refund terms and consented stories. Placement and income claims are not part of this academy.

What time zone are live sessions in?

Source zone is America/Toronto unless a cohort says otherwise. Session times always name that zone. Convert in your own calendar from the ICS on the cohort card.

Can I join a waitlist if a cohort is full?

A Scrum Master who only reads the agenda is easy to ignore. This course is for people who want the role, and for team leads or analysts crossing into it. You do not need the title yet. You run the meetings until they end with a decision, not a tour of status. You practice helping the product owner and the developers without taking their work. You also rehearse the job interview, with an instructor who pushes back the way a real team will. By the end you can protect the goal of the sprint when extra work starts walking in. You leave with scripts for the meetings that usually wander, and a certificate. It is live. Dates and the fee are on this page.

Module 1
The Scrum Master in a Canadian team
Servant leadership without becoming the team secretary. What a GTA hiring panel listens for.
- Who the Scrum Master is (and is not)The Scrum Master is not the project manager and not the product owner. You hold the system: how the team inspects, how impediments surface, how the room decides. The PO holds the backlog. The team holds the how. Hiring panels in the GTA listen for this split. If you describe yourself as “the person who runs stand-up,” you sound like a coordinator. If you describe the impediment, the experiment, and the outcome, you sound like a Scrum Master.
- Psychological safety without slogansSafety is a behaviour, not a poster. People speak when the last person who spoke was not punished. Practice: name one risk in this week’s work. Ask who owns the next experiment. Write it where the room can see it. That is facilitation.
Module 2
Events that end in a decision
Stand-up, planning, review, retro — each with a done definition the room can see.
- Daily Scrum that does not become statusThree questions that are actually one: what is the next increment, what is in the way, who decides. If every update is to you, you have become the bottleneck. Turn the team to each other. Time-box. Park. Close with owners.
- Sprint events knowledge checkThree questions. Pass mark 70%. Completing this check with every lesson marked done issues the certificate.
