CAPM to PMP

You already hold the CAPM. The next exam does not ask you to recite the words again. It asks what you would do when the team, the plan, and the sponsor disagree. Sixteen live hours take you from the first credential to that exam.

  • 16 hours
  • Exam prep
  • Live virtual
  • April 10 — April 18

Benefits

  • Sixteen hours aimed at the gap, not a repeat of CAPM.
  • Scenario practice and one timed simulation.
  • A walk through the application before you pay the exam fee.
  • Recordings, so a work week does not erase the class.
  • A certificate of completion. The exam fee is not included.

    Benefits, not only deliverables

This is for people who already passed CAPM and want the PMP. Holding the first credential does not put you in the exam room. With a high school diploma the institute asks for five years of leading projects in the last eight years. With a bachelor degree it asks for three years. A degree from a GAC program asks for two. It also asks for 35 hours of project management education. A CAPM may not cover those hours. If you still need them, take PMP Exam Prep. This class is the step between the two. The exam is 180 questions in 230 minutes. Five of them are not scored. About half the paper is predictive work and half is agile or a mix. The marks sit in People (42 percent), Process (50 percent), and the business environment (8 percent). You will work the situations the first exam did not press: leading a team, negotiating, one integrated plan, risk and change, the rules outside the project, and benefits rather than a stack of deliverables. The class walks the application. It does not file it, and the exam fee is not in this price. Dates and the fee are on this page.

Outcomes

What you will be able to do when the course ends. This is not the list of things you take home. That list is Benefits, at the top of the page.

  1. 1You can answer a situational question, not only define the word.
  2. 2You can lead a team conversation the first exam never staged.
  3. 3You can tell a risk from an issue from a change.
  4. 4You can connect a deliverable to a benefit the sponsor can measure.
  5. 5You know whether your years of leading projects meet the application.
  6. 6You know when this class is enough, and when you still need the full PMP course.

Curriculum

Every chapter is listed here. You enrol in the whole course, not one chapter.

  1. Module 1

    Leading the team

Trust, accountability, and a team that can deliver.

    • What the first exam did not ask you to do
    • Trust and accountability on a real team
    • A stakeholder who can help or stop the work
  2. Module 2

    The people around the project

Negotiate, handle a conflict, and say the hard thing clearly.

    • A negotiation that is not a fight
    • A conflict you do not postpone
    • What you say, and what you do not
  3. Module 3

    One plan

Schedule, people, and expectations in the same plan.

    • Schedule, people, and money in one picture
    • The project and the business goal
    • Where a weak plan creates the later risk
  4. Module 4

    Risk, issues, and change

What might happen, what already has, and what must change.

    • A risk, an issue, and a change are not the same thing
    • What you watch, and who you tell
    • Keeping the project on the outcome while the plan moves
  5. Module 5

    The world outside the project

Law, rules, and the conditions you do not control.

    • Rules, contracts, and what you may not ignore
    • Social and economic conditions that move the date
    • Compliance without burying the work
  6. Module 6

    Benefits, not only deliverables

The result the organisation was paying for.

    • A deliverable is not a benefit
    • The measure the sponsor will actually use
    • When the project is done and the value is not
  7. Module 7

    The application and the exam

Who may sit, how the paper is built, and a timed simulation.

    • The years of leading projects the application asks for
    • People, process, and the business environment
    • Predictive questions and agile questions on the same paper
    • A timed simulation
    • When you still need the full 35 hours

FAQ’s

Who is this course for?
People who already hold the CAPM. The next exam asks what you would do when the team, the plan, and the sponsor disagree.
Does a CAPM qualify me for the PMP?
No. The institute still asks for years of leading projects, and for 35 hours of education. A CAPM may not cover those hours. If you need them, take PMP Exam Prep.
Is the PMP exam fee included?
No. This class does not file the application, and it does not pay the exam.
How is this different from PMP Exam Prep?
PMP Exam Prep is the full preparation, including the education hours. This is the sixteen-hour step for people who already hold the first credential.
Do you guarantee a job after a cohort?
No. We publish dates, prices, refund terms and consented stories. Placement and income claims are not part of this academy.
What time zone are live sessions in?
Source zone is America/Toronto unless a cohort says otherwise. Session times always name that zone. Convert in your own calendar from the ICS on the cohort card.
Can I join a waitlist if a cohort is full?
Yes. Waitlist captures name, email and optional phone. It does not take payment. Seats that free up are offered in join order.
How does early-bird pricing work?
If a cohort has an early-bird price and the cut-off has not passed (server date at payment), checkout charges the early-bird amount. The cart may still show list price until quote.
What is the refund window?
Full refund before the published cut-off relative to the cohort start; after that the published bands on the Refund page apply. Checkout requires you to accept that policy.
